Studio Policies
Below is a brief overview of Ms. Anna Violin Studio guidelines and policies. A full version is available upon request.
In the Lesson
Please arrive 5 minutes early to unpack, tune, and be ready to begin.
Phones may be used only for recording lesson material — no texting nor calls during the lesson.
Videotaping private lessons for personal practice use is encouraged.
Siblings are welcome if they can sit quietly without causing disruption.
Practice & Preparation
Students are expected to practice 6–7 days per week with the support of an at-home practice partner (usually a parent for younger children).
Assignments are designed to ensure steady progress and joy in music-making — they are not suggestions.
Attendance & Cancellations
Your weekly lesson time is reserved exclusively for you.
Lessons missed by the student are not refundable, and make-up lessons are not guaranteed.
Online lessons may be arranged in cases of illness, travel, or weather.
If Ms. Anna must cancel a lesson, it will be rescheduled or refunded.
Please do not attend lessons if your child is sick. If the student feels well enough to play, an online lesson may be scheduled.
Payment
Tuition is required regardless of attendance.
Monthly tuition is due by the 5th of each month.
Payment may be made by check, Venmo, or Zelle.
Parental Support
Parents are essential partners in the learning process. For students under age 9, a parent or guardian is expected to attend lessons and support practice at home, unless other arrangements have been discussed with Ms. Anna.
Please do not discuss your child in front of them or other students during lesson time. Sensitive issues can be addressed privately with Ms. Anna.
Studio Structure
All students are scheduled for weekly private lessons, group lessons, studio recitals, and exams. These are an expected and integral part of the studio experience.
Families will receive advance notice of dates and any applicable recital or accompanist fees.
Studio Forms
All incoming families are required to sign a studio contract and complete liability, photo, and video release forms upon enrollment.
